Blog birthday!

My BLOG is 1 year old!!
I can't believe I have been sharing my life with you guys for a year!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOG!

All shopped out! (well nearly)

Well I've been to the craft show and you guessed it - all shopped out!
Ooooo and just what I wanted, a wheeled storage tote (brown/pink) - and it was FREE - even better!! I subscribed to a Cardmaking/Papercraft magazine and this was the subscription gift! Made my day!

I also purchased some great, large plastic uppercase letter templates (about 4" high) I am currently working on a 70th birthday card/mini scrapbook for my Mother-in-Law (it spells out the word MUM). I will post pic's when I have finished it. I am using some lovely 'URBAN' cardstock, that I also bought at the show.

I nearly bought the new Sizzix Black/Pink BIG SHOT (show special £60)- but as I already have the original sizzix machine - I had to control myself. But I have dropped hints at home - I can always sell the sizzix!

Craft shopping at the NEC.

Oooo it's that time of year, Hobbycrafts exhibition at the NEC Birmingham.
Myself and Debs are going this Friday to shop 'til you drop!!
Although, I have to say, the past few years it has been more card making than scrapbooking, but I usually manage to make a hole in the bank account!
It's a couple of hours drive from here, so we are leaving at about 6.30-7.00am :-] that's commitment - or should we just be committed!

Dirty Dancing....

WOW...what can I say....FANTASTIC!
On Friday, I went with Lorraine to London's West End to see the stage show of Dirty Dancing, just brilliant and we would both recommend everyone to see it! (well you girlies anyway!)
We left about 8am, arrived in London at 12. We spent a couple of hours wondering around Covent Garden, watched the street performers and had a lovely lunch, while doing some people watching! We then started to make our way to the theatre, as the performance was due to start at 3, and yes you guessed it, we got lost! Two women in central London with no sense of direction between us - great! But after lots of giggles - we found it with plenty of time to spare!
We both really enjoyed the show, which finished just before 6 and then it was coach journey home, we arrived home around 10 - long day but worth it!
