Pandora

Pandora.
My birthday pressie from my lovely hubby.
I have been nagging (asking nicely) for a Pandora for ages!
I am so pleased with it. I also got the extra 'angel' charm from
my lovely sissy-in-law and a very pretty flower charm from the
guys at work. Thank you everyone.

Tripod treat!

I have wanted a new tripod to go with my Canon 400 for months, but couldn't decide what to go for. In a recent issue of 'photoplus' magazine, this Manfrotto 190XB with 390RC2 head was rated highly....so I've done it. I have ordered it from Jessops, for collection tomorrow.

Stormy weather.....

I snapped this photo through my window last summer, I think it shows what a crazy mix of weather we had last year! Lets hope this Summer is better!

Cousin Lisa's Wedding....

I took these on Saturday at Lisa and Mark's Wedding, Lisa is Chris' cousin. What a great day, lovely weather and again we were at the lovely Petwood Hotel.

We've been to Legoland!

We've just spent a couple of days in Windsor, a very pretty part of the UK. We spent the first day looking around Windsor, we visited Windsor Castle - Stunning! We had a boat trip on the Thames - very relaxing!

Day 2 we spent at Legoland, a lovely warm sunny day and we had a fantastic time! Most of the rides had a 45 min wait time - but were usually worth it!

What a great place and surprise surprise I took well over 200 photo's!! Which now I've mastered slide shows (I love Adobe)- will be turned into one!

Wedding Day...

Chris' cousin Bev got married on Saturday to Mark - and how lucky were they with the weather - beautiful sunny day!! The Wedding has been planned for over 2 1/2 years!! And what a day it was - superb, everything went like clockwork, Bev looking stunning.

I am just putting together a TV slide show of the photo's I have taken (well some of the 264 that I took on the day!!) and plan to use a few digi scrap pages throughout. The above will be the title page.

Ok, here are a couple of my first attempts- what do you think?

These are a couple of my first attempts with the new camera. Me and Sam took Alfie for a walk down to the local river and I just took the camera along for a play. We were out for about an hour and I managed to take 67 photo's - good job I bought a big memory card.

Walkies!

Sunday - great day. Started off with a visit to the garden centre, to buy a new garden bench. Bought a lovely chunky teak 'companion' bench with umbrella - just have to wait for it to be delivered - I'm not good with the 'waiting' thing!

This was followed by a slap up Sunday roast at a local pub - with yummy chocolate fudge cake for pud!!

So needless to say, we followed this with a long walk with the dog. We went to a place called Culverthorpe Hall (about 6 miles from where we live). This is such a beautiful setting, 2 massive lakes, a gorgeous Hall and lots of other lovely stone cottages set in acres and acres of land. It is a private house, but they allow the public to use several walks around the grounds.

MUGS!

Shopping in NEXT yesterday, I just couldn't resist this funky mug! I love anything pink and brown - so this just had to come home with me. It even has a pretty pink flower on the inner base. Best bit - it was only £2.00.






Using Adobe Elements 4, I 'merged' pictures of our 4 dogs, added their names, dropped a disk into Boots and they printed it onto a mug for me! (picture is a bit dark) but it has come out perfect. This was a Christmas pressie for hubby!

This 'artistic' photo was taken during a recent weekend away in London. We stayed in this fabulous hotel for 2 nights.

We went to see Chicago in the west end and then visited London Zoo the following day. Great weekend away with friends.
