Getting divorced! (not a good time in my life)
but I am now in a very happy relationship!!

Take Sam for a haircut - urgently needed!

figures (could be expensive)

None at the moment - I'm on a challenge with Anne next door -
first one to shift a stone!! We are on week 3!! (lost 5 lb)

Um...boring but...
Buy a big house in the country

Buy every craft item available
Go on a long holiday...round the world

I was born in London
I lived in Basingstoke for 16 years
I now live in Lincolnshire and have done for 21 years!

Hi all, hope everyone had a fab bank holiday weekend!


This is a 'thank you card' using Cuttlebug embossing folders, I have 'buffed' (with a nail file) the top layer of paper over the embossing to make it appear white. The background is stamped using versamark ink.
and hey - NO pink!
I'm now going to put the kettle on and sit and read Scrapbook Inspirations, which arrived in the post today (didn't finish work until 6 pm today - doing holiday cover!)

DANCING ON ICE

Dancing on Ice - FANTASTIC!!
Sorry about the quality of some of the photo's - no flash photography was allowed.
What a show - just brilliant! We were only 4 rows away from the ice. First half of the show is just like the TV show and you get to vote for your favourite. Suzanne won last night. Chris Fountain's partner Frankie was injured on Thursday, so he wasn't in the competition - but did dance with a different partner in the second half and was superb. The second half of the show is the celeb's again, but also the professionals show off their real talents - absolutely brilliant!!!!!
We stopped for tea on the way and the show started at 7.30. All was going well until it was time to leave the carpark - our friends managed to get out really quick, before we even got to the carpark, so yeah..... you guessed it we were still in the carpark nearly an hour later. They got home at 11.15 and we finally arrived home at Midnight!! Shattered at work today!!
But worth it - highly recommended show!

Wizard Dies - Question?????

Does anyone know if you can use Wizard (Spellbinder) Dies with the Cuttlebug??

Four seasons

For Sam's scrapbook. I thought it would be fun to record the 'view from his window' throughout the seasons. So this is a record of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, I have tried to take the photo from the same position each time.

Cupcake heaven...

Idea for cupcake stamp:
stamp and paint the image (as normal), then re-stamp the cake case onto patterned paper, cut out and add to the original image. Looks like they've been baked in pretty cupcake cases.

I have used A6 cards, not my favourite size, but the embossing folders fit perfectly.
Pink Petticoat images and flower/brad embellishments.

Big Shot or Cuttlebug - DECISION

Well I gave it a lot of thought and took on board all your advice and help, I was 90% convinced I was going to buy the Big Shot........but all things considered I ended up getting the:

CUTTLEBUG!!

the main reason was the compact size and I have decided to keep my Red Sizzix! (for now)
So far - I am thrilled with my purchase and hope to post some cards made with it very soon.

Pandora

Pandora.
My birthday pressie from my lovely hubby.
I have been nagging (asking nicely) for a Pandora for ages!
I am so pleased with it. I also got the extra 'angel' charm from
my lovely sissy-in-law and a very pretty flower charm from the
guys at work. Thank you everyone.

I had some lovely pressies (which I opened last night) My lovely hubby has bought me a Pandora bracelet (which I have wanted for ages) I will post pics later.
Also thanks to Mum-in-Law and Sissy-in-law, who bought me charms to add to the bracelet. (and sissy-in-law who put a lot of thought and effort into some weird and wonderful gifts -
she's great!)

You may have noticed I have opened it a day early...well I am having to make some slight alterations to my birthday this year! I am celebrating it a day early, as we are at Chris' Uncles funeral tomorrow and Chris is working for a few hours tomorrow morning, starting at 5 am and finishing at 9am in time for the funeral. So unless I want to open my pressies in the middle of the night (NO!) I am opening them tonight!
So I am just waiting for everyone to get home.
My friend Ros came round earlier and we spent a lovely couple of hours chillin' in the garden, having a good natter (remembered the sun block today! got a little fried on Monday)

Bank holiday dog walk

Such a beautiful day today we decided to go on our favourite dog walk, at Culverthorpe Lakes (about 6 miles from where we live)

Dancing on Ice LIVE

Oooooo.....so excited, I'm off with the girls at work to see Dancing on Ice LIVE at Nottingham Arena on Friday 16th May!! We are 4 rows from the front!! There's 3 car loads of us going, we'll be stopping for a meal on the way and the show starts at 7.30. The girls are being allowed to leave work early - leaving the boys in charge!!
